Thomas Flatman

(1637-1688)


Thomas Flatman studied at Winchester and New College Oxford (M.A. from Catherine College Cambridge 1666); he was a renowned painter of miniatures whose Poems (1674) went through several editions. Flatman published satires under the pseudonym "Montelion Knight of the Oracle."
