Thomas Atkinson of Glasgow

(1801-1833)


Thomas Atkinson was a bookseller and poet in Glasgow. He edited of The Ant, a weekly periodical, and was an unsuccessful candidate for the liberal interest in Parliament. Atkinson published a number of short poems in Edinburgh Literary Journal before he died of consumption on the passage to Barbadoes 10 October 1833.
