Willis Gaylord Clark

(1808-1841)


Willis Gaylord Clark was born in Onodago, New York; he briefly edited the Ladies Literary Portfolio in Philadelphia, afterwards working as a journalist for the Columbian Star and the Philadelphia Gazette before his early death. He was the twin brother of Lewis Gaylord Clark, editor of the Knickerbocker Magazine and the editor of Willis's Literary Remains.
