The Author of this Poem [Squire of Dames] was a Jew, resided at Mitcham in Surry, and was honoured by the University of Oxford with the degree of Master of Arts. Three Dramatic pieces and some other Poems were written by him. He died in February 1758, and was the richest Poet of his time.
