The Author of this, and some subsequent Elegies, was Vicar of Snittersfield in Warwickshire, and Rector of Kimcote in Leicestershire. From his school days he was the intimate friend and correspondent of Shenstone. Having completed his education at University-College, Oxford, he took his degree of M. A. in 1738, and died in 1781.
