This Gentleman, who has been but a very few Years dead, was a Jew, and, if I do not mistake, either a Stock-Broker or a Notary Public. — He was a Person, of considerable Genius, of an agreeable Behaviour and entertaining in Conversation, and had a very pretty Turn for Poetry. — He was Author of two little dramatic Pieces, both of which met with good Success, and some of the Songs in both still justly continue Favourites with Persons of poetical and musical Taste.
