Mr. Lewis Theobald. — This Author, who was born at Sittingbourne in Kent, was the Son of Mr. Theobald, an Attorney of that Town, and was bred to his Father's Business. — He was concerned in a Paper, called The Censor, and published an Edition of all Shakespeare's Plays, which is still in great Esteem; being in general preferred to those Editions published by Pope, Warburton, and Hanmer. — His own dramatic Pieces are [list omitted].
