A Physician of Exeter and a Poet. His works are The Land of the Muses, a poem; Infancy, a poem in two books: Lucius Junius Brutus, and historical play: a translation of Lodbrog's Death Song: and Editha, a tragedy. He afterwards published his poems in a duodecimo volume: and in 1792, an octavo volume of tragedies, three in number, viz. Lucius Junius Brutus, and Editha, reprinted, and another drama founded on the story of Belisarius. This gentleman's poetry is general, natural, and nervous.
