WILLIAM PRESTON, ESQ. of Gloucester Street, Dublin. This gentleman published, in 1794, two octavo volumes of his Poetical Works, some of which had been published separately, as long ago as the year 1775. Among these poems are many pieces of very considerable merit, and the public are likely to be favoured with a third volume. Mr. Preston has also published, Democratic Rage; or Louis the Unfortunate, a political tragedy, and a Letter to Brian Edwards, Esq. containing Observations on some passages in his History of the West Indies.
