THOMAS CAMPBELL, born at Glasgow 1777, and educated at the grammar-school of that city. He then repaired to Edinburgh, visited Germany in 1800, and settled at Sydenham. Mr. C. enjoys a pension, secured for him by Lord Grenville, as it is said, for political paragraphs written by him in an evening paper, in support of his lordship's administration.
