A Devonshire poet, Mr. CARRINGTON (1877-1830), has celebrated some of the scenery and traditions of his native district in pleasing verse. His works have been collected into two volumes, and consist of The Banks of the Tamar, 1820; Dartmoor (his best poem), 1826; My Native Village: and miscellaneous pieces.
