This amiable man dedicated many years of labour to the vindication of his father's memory, and eventually, indeed, sacrificed his life, shortened by the emotions excited in his affectionate mind by the renewal of oft-refuted calumny, and the irksome task of a search through public documents by a man in impaired health.
