REV. MATTHEW WEST, Vicar of Clare in Ireland. This gentleman, who was educated at Trinity College, Dublin, is the author of three plays which possess considerable poetical merit, though they do not appear to have been represented. The last on the history of Charlotte Cordey, who assassinated Marat, is a pathetic performance. The titles of the plays are as follows:

Ethelinda, trag. 12mo. 1796, — Pizarro, trag. 12mo. 1799, — Female Heroism, trag. 8vo. 1803.
