Son of lady Mary Greathead, and nephew to the duke of Ancaster. Mr. Greathead, when in Italy, was a contributor to a collection of pieces in prose and verse, superintended by Mrs. Piozzi, and intitled the Florence Miscellany. He has lately presented the world with a tragedy, performed at Drury-lane theatre, and intitled the Regent, which has not altogether answered the expectations that had been formed of his abilities.
