Richard Jago, Vicar of Snittersfield in Warwickshire, and rector of Kimcote in Leicestershire. He was the intimate friend and correspondent of Mr. Shenstone, with whom he became acquainted at school. He finished his education at University College, Oxford, and took his degree of M.A. July 9, 1738. His death happened May 28, 1781.
