As there is a respectable number of subscribers prefixed to this volume, we may be excused, if we do not lend a hand to support a humble muse, whose chief merit is a 'desire' to please; — but, if we cannot praise the attempt of a servant-maid of low degree, to catch a poetical wreath, even after making due allowance for her situation, we will let her sing-song die in peace.
