Those who are unaquainted with Massinger's Writings will, perhaps, be surprized to find one placing him in an equal Rank with Beaumont and Fletcher, and the immortal Ben; but I flatter myself that if they will but give themselves the Trouble of perusing his Plays, their Astonishment will cease, that they will acquiesce with me in my Opinion, and think themselves obliged to me for pointing out to them so vast a Treasury of Entertainment and Delight.
