CHRISTOPHER ANSTEY, Esq. of Trumpington, in Cambridgeshire, author of "The New Bath Guide," and many other poetical, humorous, and classical Works. The last thirty years of his life were chiefly passed on the spot from whence the scenes of his original and sportive Essays were drawn. He lived to see a very numerous family arrive at mature age, and respected for their talents and their virtues; and died at Harden-Huish, near Chippenham, the seat of his son-in-law Henry Bosanquet, esq. on the 3d of August 1805, in the 81st year of his age.
