Next P—ps appear'd, and enter'd his Plea,
But his Works did not All with her Standard agree;
How dares he, says she, approach to my Shrine,
Who denies such a thing as a Power divine.
D—s made a Remark, that it wasn't so odd,
He should own her a Goddess, who believ'd not a —
But commended him much for a Poet so mild,
He knew not a fitter to sing for a Child.
