You know, I suppose, that Dodsley's other Miscellanies do not appear before next winter. I received from him, together with his Ode, a few Elegies published by Mr. Whitehead. They are, I think, worth your perusal; and designed by my worthy friend to excite my emulation. — Alas! that I am so ill able to deserve the encouragements which I receive from him!
