1832 ENGLISH POETRY 1579-1830: SPENSER AND THE TRADITION

Edward Moxon

John Wilson to Jane Wilson, 11 July 1832; Mary Wilson Gordon, Christopher North (1862; 1894) 341.

The literary people here seem cockneys. I called yesterday upon Miss Landon, who is really a pleasant girl, and seemed much flattered by the old fellow's visit. To-day Blair and I, along with Edward Moxon, (bookseller), take coach for Enfield (at three o'clock) to visit Charles Lamb. We return at night, if there are coaches.
