Croly (1780-1860), rector of St. Stephen's, London, was a native of Dublin, and was educated at Trinity College. He is the author of two volumes of poetry (1830); Catiline, a tragedy, containing some forcible scenes; various novels; and several theological and historical works. A brief memoir of Croly was published by his son in 1863.
