Dr. Hugh Downman

Dr. J. Crane, "On Hugh Downman, M.D." St. James's Chronicle (31 March 1791).

All who in health would fain improve the mind,
In Downman's pleasing page instruction find;
And when attack'd by sickness or by pain,
By Downman's skill they soon new health regain:
Thus sick, or well, they're sure to gain their end,
Who want the Doctor, or who seek the Friend.
